I got a call claiming it was Amazon saying my Prime membership was about to renew for £39.99. Funny enough, I’d only just cancelled that Prime account because I’d signed up by mistake. I rang Amazon myself to check and they confirmed it was definitely a scam. Ended up calling those numbers twice this morning.

Got a call from a lady, sounded Asian, said her name was Debra and she claimed to be from BT security. When I said "Hello, I'm Gandhi," she just hung up on me.

Got a call today from a man with an Asian accent who used a very British-sounding name, claiming to be from BT technical support. I immediately told him he was lying and demanded he remove my number from his list and never to ring me again. I also mentioned how what he was doing is against the law and that I would report him to BT’s scam team, which I’ve already done online. Not sure if it’ll change anything, but it’s really annoying because now when a genuine person with a similar accent calls, I’ll probably be suspicious straight away. Such a shame it ruins trust like this.

Just a heads up, BT always calls from an 0800 number, never from a regular landline. They actually run their own phone company, so if you get a call from a normal number claiming to be them, it's probably not legit.

Got a call from some bloke called Kevin who said he was from BT, bit odd cause he was Asian lol. I told him I ain't with BT but he just went on about how BT owns all the networks anyways. I politely ended the chat and hung up. Then later, I got called again from an 014 number with the same spiel. Watch out for these shifty calls!

DO NOT PICK UP, TRUST ME. They rang claiming to be BT, saying someone was hacking my internet and using it for illegal stuff, which could get me in serious trouble. I asked them how I could be sure they were actually from BT and not some scammers pretending. Then they wanted me to give details about my devices, like serial numbers and Wi-Fi passwords. I said no way. They got really rude, started yelling, then just cut me off. Total dodgy call!

Got a voicemail from some bloke with a really pushy American accent saying he was from BT. He warned me to press ‘1’ right away or I’d get arrested for fraud or something. Sounded dodgy so I just deleted the message and blocked the number straight away.

I got a call from this number but didn’t pick up since I didn’t know who it was. They left no voicemail, so I figured it was probably some sort of scam or sales call. If my phone had the option, I’d definitely block it.

Had a strange call from a lady with an Asian accent, couldn’t really catch her name, telling me someone unauthorised was using my internet. When I told her I didn’t think so, she just ended the call. Seriously, I need to get ready and maybe have a whistle on hand for when it happens again. It’s mad that there isn’t any way to block such calls coming through that IP!

Got a call from these lot earlier today. Had the poor person on the line for a good 10 minutes and they seemed completely confused. I’m sure whoever’s behind it was well chuffed. Eventually, I told them in no uncertain terms "Not with BT, piss off!" Glad I wasted their time instead of some other poor bugger’s. Really should find something loud enough to shut them up for good.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, but the whole thing sounded really dodgy. The bloke had an Asian accent and, weirdly, you could hear a woman in the background yelling at him as if she was giving him directions. Proper rubbish effort all round.

This is actually my number that's being used by some awful people, not my actual phone line. I've let my provider know about it. I've chatted to some really nice folks, but sometimes I just have to switch off my phone because it gets overwhelming. This has been happening since Wednesday. I’m trying to stay patient because I don’t want to have to swap my number - it’s unfair I should have to because of these nuisance callers.

Got a call from what sounded like British Telecom about my internet, but turns out it was one of those offshore call centres pulling a scam. They phoned an elderly relative of mine twice, warning her her internet would be cut off! Luckily, the second time around I was there looking after her and took the call myself. I told them who I was and they just dropped the line. Proper dodgy behaviour, and I’m not having any of it.

Got a call from someone saying she was with British Gas, asked if I was the house owner. She was an Indian lady and also tried to get me to say the last part of my postcode. Didn’t fall for it obviously. Sounds like a scam, watch out!

Got a call from this number around 10.40 this morning. Didn’t bother answering and as soon as the voicemail kicked in, there was no message left. Looks like a scam to me. I usually only pick up if I know the number or person, and when there’s no message left on the answerphone, it’s a dead giveaway it’s dodgy. My phone provider does a decent job blocking these, but somehow this one got past them.

Someone's been using my phone number without permission, so I told my provider about it. Unfortunately, they ended up taking the number away from me - what a nightmare! I've had to answer 124 calls today trying to sort things out and explain the situation. On the bright side, I did speak to a few really lovely folks, so if any of you happen to see this, thanks for being so understanding!

Got a call early at 8:24 am, but as soon as my answerphone picked up, it just said "Other Person Has Cleared." Honestly, I’d say always let unknown calls go to answerphone first. Don’t pick up if you’re not sure who’s calling. Definitely worth having an answerphone for peace of mind.

I didn't even bother to leave a message, just hung up straight away. The only reason I looked up the number was because it showed Ipswich on the caller ID, where my sister is from. After reading the comments, it's pretty clear this is just another dodgy scammer calling TPS registered numbers for some shady purpose.

Had a call from some bloke named Steven, sounded like he was from India, trying to chat about my internet service. I told him I wasn’t bothered and ended the call quick sharp. Noticeably, these dodgy scammers keep bugging my 96-year-old neighbour, who hasn’t got a computer at all. Honestly, whoever’s behind this should be locked up and the key tossed away for good.
