Got a call from someone at Connect or Connex, some telecom company claiming they could cut our phone bills. It was pretty confusing though, coz at first she sounded like she wanted to switch us over to BT, then a minute later said she didn’t. When I told her it was a home address but I run a small biz there, she just dropped the call! Bit rude if you ask me!

Some bloke said he was Matthew from Connects or Connex, claimed we’d spoke last week - which we never did. He kept trying to chat about my weekend, but when I asked why he was ringing, he dodged it. Said he’d be in my area tomorrow and asked if he could drop by to talk about BT (we’re not even with BT). He kept insisting we were still with them, I told him we weren’t. Then when he asked who we switched to, I said if he didn’t know, I wasn’t telling and ended the call. Proper annoying, felt like harassment.

Got a call today asking if I was driving or riding in a crash. Told them no, then I asked where they got my details from. The bloke was really rude and said why should he tell me if I don’t answer his questions. I just ended the call.

Got a call from some firm claiming i had an accident claim i hadn’t heard of before. They said loads of stuff that sounded fake. The number was Ipswich, so i picked up thinking it might be important. When i asked for more info, the lady on the other end got really rude and pushy, so i couldn’t get enough details to properly report them. Totally dodgy experience.

Got a call from this number yesterday. A woman asked for me by name and started talking about an accident I'd supposedly had in the last three years and damage to my car. I told her I haven’t had any accidents in that time and told her to remove me from their list. My question is, where do these people find your name and mobile and then make up stuff like that? Has anyone else had a similar experience? Tried calling back but the number's not working. I've blocked them now.
