Got a rude woman on the phone who was well off about money stuff - super unprofessional too.

I got a call from this number on the 6th of March, 2019, but unfortunately, I was a bit slow off the mark reaching for my phone and missed my chance to add it to my blocked contacts. I have a hunch it’s another dodgy scam, claiming to be from BT.

A lady called, conversing with my wife, and made it seem as though she was associated with BT, especially since they've just upgraded to fibre in our area. My wife asked her to talk to me as she was discussing a business line. The lady rang back later, again suggesting she represented BT. I decided to return the call and confronted her straight-up about her affiliation with BT. Her reply was quite vague-something along the lines of "yes and no." So, I probed further, asking if she was genuinely from BT, to which she flatly answered, "No." Consequently, I chose to cancel the meeting that had been set, and she abruptly disconnected the call.

I received a call from this number last week and was informed that it’s listed with the Telephone Preference Service. I was also told that Ofcom would be notified should they ring me again - quite a cheeky response, I must say! However, they’ve now left a missed call. It’s puzzling whether they believe they can flout the rules or if Ofcom is just ineffective, perhaps it’s a bit of both. Regardless, I’ll be lodging a complaint. It could be beneficial for others to do likewise; if we band together, perhaps these nuisance callers will finally catch a bit of heat they so richly deserve.
