I think this number isn’t legit cause it’s only 10 digits when it really should be 11. I used my 1471 feature on my voicemail to check and it showed up, but I reckon it’s just a fake number scammers use. Better not call back, you might get charged a premium fee and the scammers will benefit!

Number wasn’t shown on BT Call Guardian, so I guess it was probably a scammer or some kinda call centre. I’ve blocked it now.

Just like others, I got this recorded message threatening to cut my internet in four hours. I’ve blocked the number and added it to my blacklist. Had no clue about the premium rate number if you actually dial the option they ask you to press - so cheers for sharing that! I was tempted to press 1 just to mess with them, but now I’m really glad I didn’t go through with it!

Got a recorded message saying my internet was about to be disconnected. They said not to press any buttons, but it’s a scam. They try to funnel you through to some expensive premium number that racks up loads of charges. Proper nasty trick to take advantage of folk who aren’t careful. Stay alert!

I actually quite like these types of calls. Back when I was in IT, I’d often notice that the people calling usually seemed pretty clueless about what they were saying. They’re just another annoyance I end up blocking. The annoying part is my phone only lets me block so many numbers, which gets tricky after a while.

I’ve told Action Fraud about these scammers so many times - everyone should do it too, maybe then Action Fraud will actually take some action. They ring me almost every day, and funny enough, my internet’s still up and running!

This just happened to me. I reset my router three times and right after, this number called me three times. My smart TV lost its internet connection and even the wireless MAC address is missing.
