Just got a call from 01472589443, sounded like some Indian call centre scam. They said they was from BT and wanted to urgently get into my router through my computer. Definitely a scam, so dont pick up or call back!

Got a recorded message, sounded like some kind of internet scam. Surely that’s gotta be against the law?

I got a call at lunchtime today, 16th May 2019, with some automated voice saying my router wasn’t working and that I should stay on the line to sort out a replacement. I didn’t hang about and just ended the call straight away. This sounds dodgy to me, so I’m labelling this number as ‘risky’. If you get a call from them, don’t share any details and just put the phone down. And if you already handed over any info, contact your broadband provider and your bank immediately to be safe.
