7 yearsI've been bombarded with calls from this number, where the folks claim to be representing Aviva and are keen to help me slash my monthly costs. I've made it clear that I’ve got a financial advisor in place and don't require their services. Today, another chap rang me from the same number, and despite my asking him thrice about the actual company he represented, he stubbornly stuck to saying he was calling ‘on behalf’ of Aviva. Every time I pressed for clarity, he repeated the same line, so I finally insisted he specify the company he worked for. His response was, ‘Aviva provides us the numbers to call. I’ve told you thrice, I’m calling on behalf of Aviva. Perhaps you ought to clear out your ears!’ at which point, I decided it was best to hang up. When I attempted to return the call, I was met with a message stating the number doesn’t exist.
