I got a ring on the work line, looked like it might be from Scotland or somewhere up north. Problem is, I don’t know a soul from there. Of course, they didn’t even leave a voicemail, just a waste of time as usual!

Got a couple of calls from the same number within half an hour. The moment they start with “how are you today?” on my voicemail, I just know it’s not worth my time. I usually just end the call straightaway.

Just like everyone else here, I got the same spiel. The bloke kept pushing, trying to snag my card info. I told him straight up, "No chance mate," and if he thought I was daft enough to hand over my card to some random caller, he could jog on! Proper cheeky of him to keep going like that.

Got a call from an Asian guy claiming to be from some "Telephone Management Department." I just told him "No thanks, goodbye." They’ve called me before, asking for my credit card info to check something with the TPS, which obviously makes no sense - they shouldn’t have those details! Seriously, never give out your card info to these sorts of calls. Weirdly, the number showed up as from the Isle of Skye or something. Don’t trust it!

I’ve been getting loads of calls from these fraudsters who seem to use loads of different phone numbers, and I’m pretty sure they’re not even in the UK. BT don’t seem botherd to block them, probably because they’re cashing in on the calls somehow. Over the past two days, I’ve had about 15-20 calls from 4 separate numbers. Luckily, my phone system notes every call, but it won’t let me answer if the number is unknown.

Honestly, this week alone I’ve had 29 calls from these lot out of 32 total, and it’s a complete load of rubbish. They claim they're here to help block annoying calls but honestly, I reckon just put a voicemail on and don’t pick up. If it’s someone important or family, they’ll leave a message anyway. Biggest tip though - don’t ever confirm anything they ask. Just take a note, never share your info. Your name is your identity, don’t just hand it over to strangers!

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, super polite like you'd expect. She claimed she was calling from the telephone preference service and said she could block all annoying and spam calls to my number permanently. The catch? She wanted my credit card details to ‘verify’ me! When I mentioned I thought the whole thing was supposed to be free, she just said nothing would be charged, it was only for ID confirmation. Got a call claiming to be from the main office of the telephone preference service. They asked for my name, address, postcode and how I usually pay my phone bill. Then they wanted my card details - name on it, expiry date, whether it’s debit or credit. I told them straight away I never shared that info before and I wasn’t about to now, since the service is free. I said I’d verify their legitimacy. The caller insisted it wasn’t necessary and promised to give a helpline number at the end. I ended up hanging up.

Today, 9:40 in the morning, I got my first call of the day. I answered, waited for a couple seconds and then the call just dropped. This bloke was really pushy. We told him more than once we didn’t need his help to block nuisance calls but he just kept dialing us. When we told him again to stop, he asked for our sort code, claiming he was from UK data protection and could stop all calls. We said no again, then he just said alright, and warned us we’d get loads of nuisance calls from tomorrow before hanging up. Proper annoying!

Today this number rang me up and the caller kept asking about the expiry date on my debit card. At first, I gave a wrong expiry date just to seem convincing, but then he insisted on knowing the actual one. After that, he wanted me to read out the code at the bottom of my debit card, which I think is my bank account number. It all seemed pretty dodgy, so I ended the call right away.
