I received a call today on my mobile at 7:15 pm. I declined the call, but the person stayed on the line for long enough to trigger my voicemail. The problem is that even though they didn't leave a message, I still get charged for listening to it. It's quite frustrating, isn't it? I wonder where they obtained my mobile number from. I've just received a second unsolicited call from yet another claims firm, definitely need to put a stop to this!

Had a rather unwelcome phone call from the number 01465-9151, hailing from Girvan, Scotland. Opted not to pick up, and promptly added them to my blocked contacts.

Recognising the number as Gervan, I tend to ignore calls from unfamiliar contacts. If it were truly significant or pressing, they'd surely drop a message, wouldn’t they?

Received a call from this number. It came up as some bloke named Gervan or something similar? I never pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise. If it's genuinely important, they’ll leave a message or try again later. These unsolicited calls are such a nuisance; I really feel it’s high time the government took some action to put a stop to them!

I responded and firmly advised them not to contact me again, as they continue to ignore my boundaries. Acting impulsively, I ended the call without considering the consequences, which has led to them persistently calling me now.

Identical experience here! Received a call from "John" based in Blackpool regarding my PPI. My partner and I took a closer look ourselves a while ago and confirmed we weren’t owed anything - definitely a scam. The chap had quite the African accent, so I simply ended the call and left him talking to himself until he eventually gave up.

Today, someone phoned my mobile and identified himself as a representative of BPC.

I picked up this call because I could tell from the STD code that it was from Girvan, Ayrshire, a place I am familiar with. The person on the other end of the line had an American accent and immediately mentioned the name of a company, which sounded like EMF. They talked over me and tried to deliver a message, which I suspected was related to PPI. However, as soon as I asked a question, they abruptly ended the call without answering. This definitely seemed like a sales or scam call.

I often receive undesirable phone calls on my landline. However, today at 6.50 pm, I received a call on my mobile from what seemed to be a Girvan area code. I chose not to answer it. From Bill H.

I received a call regarding a PPI reimbursement, and they were extremely tenacious in their efforts to reach me.

Based on the lack of response and the rehearsed introduction, it is clear that this is a call centre.

I received a call earlier today from someone who claimed to be from the BBC. I politely informed them that I was busy and unable to speak at the moment, but they continued to press me with their conversation. Eventually, I decided to end the call by hanging up on them.
