Someone claiming to be from Microsoft called me, saying they were about to shut down my computer. I was a bit worried because they knew my last name, but the woman on the other end got really rude when I asked where exactly she was calling from. I asked her for any proof she was actually from Microsoft, but she just said I’d be lucky if my computer stopped working. I told her to carry on then, since I had nothing to prove she was legit. Definitely felt like a money-grabbing scam.
