I got a call on my BT landline from a number with a local UK area code, and the person said they were from Visa, but honestly, they sounded like they were calling from India. I just made up a name and birthday to see what would happen. The guy pretended to check my "visa account" and claimed I'd sent £1000 to some person in China. Then he asked me for my bank sort code and other details. Definitely felt dodgy to me!
