Got a call out the blue about some supposed ppi refund they reckoned was mine. Told them I'd never taken any loans or finance, and they just ended the call right there.

Got a call from some guy claiming to be from VPC saying I’d been in an accident, sounded like one of those PPI scams. As soon as I said it was a work number, he just ended the call straight away! Proper dodgy, that.

I received a call regarding PPI, but I've never had it linked to any of my credit cards or loans. It was completely unprompted and certainly not something they'd done their homework on. To make matters worse, I was out of the country at the time and ended up racking up some hefty roaming fees. What a nuisance!
