I received a call on my landline at precisely 10:53 on the 8th of April, 2024. The person on the other end was a woman who addressed me by my name, which immediately raised my eyebrows. I ended the call promptly, feeling rather wary that it could be a scam.

I picked up the phone, and for a brief five seconds, it was dead air. Suddenly, there was a flurry of background sounds – unmistakably a call centre. Someone mumbled a few words, and just like that, the line went silent. Clearly, it was just another nuisance call.

On the 8th of April at around 12:15, I received a call supposedly from British Gas, trying to entice me with a more advantageous offer concerning my boiler's warranty. They asked for my bank details, which immediately raised a red flag, so I decided to terminate the conversation.

Received a call on my home phone earlier. I inquired who was on the line amidst some chatter that sounded like a busy call centre. A chap named Rick claimed to be ringing from British Gas, supposedly checking if my boiler was functioning properly. When I requested the number he was calling from, he abruptly hung up. I've since blocked the number.

Warning bells ringing! Just received yet another call from a number I don't recognise, and surprise, surprise – no message left. I've taken the precaution of blocking the number and have reported it to 7726.

Had a call from this number at 9:39 in the morning on a Saturday while I was in Poole. I chose not to pick up since I didn’t recognise the caller ID and tend to avoid answering unfamiliar digits that usually end up being junk. After doing a bit of digging on here, I discovered that it's yet another scam call. I've now added it to my blocked list.
