I had a rather dubious encounter with the number 01457371175, who purported to be from 118. However, when I tossed a few straightforward questions their way, they were completely stumped. It’s quite clear this is a scam operation. I strongly advise against engaging with this number!

Received a call from someone claiming to be from 118, apparently looking for a business owner. It was one of those unsolicited calls that really gets on my nerves. I hung up, but wouldn't you know it, they rang me straight back. Clearly, they’re using some sort of auto-dialling system. Total spam attempt!

I missed the call when it came through and, unsurprisingly, they didn't bother to leave a message. My phone occasionally flags it as a potential scam, though it didn’t this time around. I received a call back in such quick succession—seven times, in fact! My phone completely jammed up after that. I had to switch it off and give it a rest for about ten minutes before it would even start working again. Just a word of advice: steer clear of answering!
