The minute I picked up, a robotic voice just said "bye" and then the line went dead.

They didn’t end the call on their side.

I got a call from someone claiming to be UK Energy Efficiency and they actually knew my surname. I told the woman answering that I wasn’t one of their customers, which she admitted straight away. Then she asked me, "Have you had an energy survey done in your home recently?" I told her I don’t share any info on the phone unless I know who I’m talking to first. She was quite nice about it, apologised, and we ended the call on a friendly note.

So annoying! They kept ringing me every few minutes, like every 5 minutes! When I finally picked up, they just ended the call straight away.
