I've been getting calls from this number on my home phone lately. When I pick up, it’s either just some strange heavy breathing for a moment or they simply end the call without saying a word. Quite baffling, really!

I received a call from an Asian gentleman who was inquiring about my computer. Given that I actually don't own one, it was quite straightforward to inform him of that and promptly end the conversation.

I received a rather peculiar call from an Asian gentleman who introduced himself as Michael. He claimed there was an issue with my computer, but the curious part is that he used the name of the person who held this position before me—she's been gone for two years now. Quite the oddity, wouldn't you agree?

I received a missed call from this number, so I've decided to block it. Whenever I encounter unwanted calls, I have a rather amusing tactic—I belt out a tune at the top of my lungs! Trust me, my singing isn't exactly a treat for the ears. It usually does the trick, and they hang up pretty quickly!

Absolute charlatans masquerading as a call centre crew! I strung them along while impersonating Manuel from Fawlty Towers. It was a right hoot hearing them unleash a barrage of expletives at me. What a bunch of complete numpties! 😂

I just had a rather daft call from this number a few moments ago. The person on the other end had a rather poor command of English and claimed to be representing Microsoft Corporation, saying there was some issue with my computer. Seeing as my computer is perfectly fine, I decided to end the call there. Honestly, these scammers really need to take a hint and stop bothering us!

Received a call at 0935 on the 10th of May 2018 from a lady with an Asian accent, asserting that she was calling from MICROSOFT CORPORATION. I must say, I'm a bit baffled—when did Microsoft set up shop in DURSLEY? Clearly, this is nothing more than a fraudulent attempt!

I received a call from this number earlier today. The person on the line claimed to be from Microsoft. While they were chatting away, I took a moment to look up the number online. I confronted them, stating that they were indeed a scam operation, and that I was recording our conversation. They got rather irate and yelled some rather rude expletives at me before I finally ended the call.

I received a rather dubious call from a chap claiming to represent Microsoft. He insisted that he needed to get into my computer. When I probed him about his location, he answered "Paddington." I politely requested his phone number so I could ring him back. That seemed to ruffle his feathers, because he suddenly claimed my operating system was on the verge of being compromised. As if I’d trust him with that! I told him I’d have a word with my son who’s employed at Microsoft in London to verify his claims. Had a good chuckle and hung up. 😂

I’d like to share my recent close brush with a phone scam that I encountered this morning. A rather convincing chap rang me, claiming that my computer had been hacked and that I risked losing my internet access unless I acted promptly. He presented himself as a representative from Microsoft and urged me to confirm a specific CLS ID number, asserting that only a legitimate caller would know this detail. TRUST ME, IT'S A CON! That CLS ID number is something that’s readily available across many Windows machines. I stumbled across a blog that elucidates this whole scenario brilliantly; I highly recommend giving it a read. I've been inundated with a staggering ten calls in a single day from this bunch of con artists. Once I realised their game, I decided to humour them and let them babble on about some supposed virus plaguing my computer. The chap on the other end kept insisting that I switch on my device, but when I eventually told him I didn't even possess one, he was furious and promptly cut off the call. Honestly, these scoundrels deserve to be held accountable for the harm they inflict, particularly on those who are more susceptible to their deceit. It's clearly a con job. The line is dreadful; likely not even from around these parts. I like to string them along as much as I can, acting as if I'm having trouble hearing. This way, they end up making fewer calls in total. I label the number as SCAM, so if they dare to ring again, it shows right up. One time, I pretended to slowly make my way upstairs to boot up my computer while following their instructions. Then I cheekily told them, "I've got a message on my screen that says the person on the other end of the line is a fraud." I placed the phone next to the radio, and you could hear him trying to defend himself for ages! Managed to waste a fair bit of his time, and it felt good. An old timer striking back! 😊
