I've had yet another dodgy call concerning the renewal of what they claimed were my kitchen appliance insurance policies, which I don't actually possess. This number has been ringing me frequently over the last week, also throwing in something about 'call guard'. I finally told them where to shove it!

I received a rather dubious call from a cold-calling outfit purporting to conduct a house survey in the UK. Oddly enough, they left an automated message stating that I had reached out to them, which absolutely isn't the case. They insisted that I leave my name and number if I wished to be taken off their calling list. This really smells like a scam to me, and I’d advise steering clear of such calls!

An individual from India rang me earlier today, and they failed to include the final syllable of my name, which alters how it’s supposed to sound. I first encountered this some years back when I was involved with a timeshare company.
This slip in pronunciation has been an ongoing theme, and curiously, it never happens when speaking to someone genuine. You can interpret that as you will.

I received a cold call that went unanswered as I was in a meeting, and I’m on the Telephone Preference Service list. The call was filtered through my Call Guardian, but they didn’t bother to leave a message. After doing a bit of digging here, I’ve decided to block the number.

This number seems to ring my phone daily without fail. I tend not to pick up, but they always leave a voicemail with three options to choose from. The last option supposedly allows you to halt any more calls, but I can’t say I’d trust that sort of thing; I’d rather just hang up.

At the ripe age of nearly 70, I find myself increasingly worried. It haunts me that individuals with less scruple could easily manipulate someone like myself, if I weren’t completely with it. It’s absolutely appalling that such things happen to vulnerable folks. Honestly, it chills me to the bone on occasion.

I received a call earlier from Microsoft, and not long after that, I found myself being contacted by an investment firm. It really gave me the impression that this was yet another dubious fishing expedition. I simply told them I wasn't interested and ended the call without any further ado.

Absolute scam! I received two calls today; ignored the first one but picked up the second. The bloke, who claimed his name was Mark, was completely unprofessional and quite impudent! I was busy with my job, and when I mentioned that, he had the cheek to raise his voice over the background noise from the radio. At that point, I just ended the call and swiftly blocked the number.

I received a call from this particular number earlier. I kept saying hello, but there was no response on the other end. Strangely enough, I could hear some shuffling noises in the background. Even after I hung up and redialled, it seemed they were still connected! Odd, to say the least.

The caller knew my name and kept repeating “hello” over and over. After responding with “hello” multiple times and then eventually raising my voice to say “Hello!” loudly, they abruptly hung up. What absolute numpties! It seems these morons are becoming increasingly unhinged in their tactics.
