It’s been some time since I first stumbled across this dubious character after responding to an ad in our local publication, Focus Stone Paving, which promised a plethora of services. Regrettably, this turned out to be the worst choice I could have made-the gentleman in question completely overcharged me by a staggering amount! I ended up cancelling the final payment and managed to haggle the costs down, but I was still left feeling cheated. After some back and forth, I even had them come back to rectify some of the work, but it was an exercise in futility. I reported this unsavoury individual to Crimestoppers and other relevant organisations, and for a while, it seemed like the gig was up for them. However, a recent news article brought to light the name Jerry Connors from Gloucester, who has been operating under the name JC Groundwork and has faced fines for aggressive conduct (I, too, felt threatened in the process).
