Some lady called saying she was Jessica Taft, gave me a badge number 982450HM, and started accusing me of purposely dodging taxes.

I got a call from some bloke pretending to be from HMRC. He was asking for my BRP number and my date of birth. Then he told me there was some mistake with my tax and I owed more than 700 quid. He warned that if I didn’t sort it out, I’d need a lawyer and my BRP would be cancelled. I just told him I needed to check and speak to my lawyer first. After that, he shut up and didn’t say a word. Definitely sounded like a threat to me.
