They didn't even leave a message, so I just blocked the number straight away.

I didn't pick up and after a while, there was this voicemail with some kind of elevator or on-hold music just going round and round for ages. Honestly, it felt pretty weird, not sure if there's anything dodgy about it though.

They said they were from Vodafone and asked for me by name, but the line was so fuzzy I could hardly catch what she was on about. Whenever someone starts with ‘how are you today?’ it just sets off alarm bells for me! I wasn’t sure if she was checking my usage (which I know Vodafone keeps track of) or trying to sell me an upgrade. In the end, I just gave up and told her goodbye.
