Somebody rang me saying it was HMRC about a fraud investigation and that there was an arrest warrant out for me. They told me if I didn’t press 1, they’d come and arrest me straight away.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be an HMRC officer called Tommy with a really thick Indian accent. He told me I'd end up in prison if I didn’t sort out my “unpaid taxes” straight away by phone. What a load of rubbish! I just reckon some folks might get tricked by this kind of thing, it’s pretty scary to be fair. I’ve blocked the number now, obviously it’s a scam! Make sure you report it so others don’t get caught out like this!

Got a call from someone saying they were with HMRC and that I was looking at arrest for tax dodging. They said if I just paid up there and then on the phone, the arrest warrant would be cancelled. What a ridiculous scam, HMRC definitely wouldn’t handle things like that over a phone call.

definitely report this number to the police, they’re con artists tricking normal folks. if u get calls or emails don’t ever share any personal info. HMRC won’t be ringing or emailing u about tax credits like this. best thing is to just hang up, block them, and send the suspicious message or email to action fraud or HMRC straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC telling me I was due a tax refund. They asked for my card info to send the money. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

At about 11 in the morning, I got a call from that number claiming to be a legal firm wanting me to call back with my personal info so they could represent me. It was definitely a recorded message. They asked for my full name first, then my birthdate, followed by my bank info for payments, and also my full address. They insisted I ring them back. Honestly, I was caught off guard and almost got tricked. Please watch out and never share your information with calls like this!
