Got a message telling me to ring back and "sort this problem out" or whatever, but my voicemail missed the start of it. After checking, I’m pretty sure it was all rubbish. I tried calling the number they used, 0121 2862544, after doing a 1471 trace on the original call. Definitely dodgy.

Got a call from 01444390923, with a woman claiming to be Amy White from HMRC. She said there was a fraud lawsuit against me and even gave some sort of case number. Got a call from 01444390293 earlier today. When I rang back, they asked for my info and told me to wait for another call from the HMRC prosecutions dept. Sure enough, another call came through with a supposed case file number accusing me of tax evasion. I told them I wanted everything in writing before contacting my accountant. Then the caller threatened me, saying I'd end up in handcuffs at the courthouse! That was the end of the chat.

Got a call earlier today, obviously another HMRC scam, kept saying yeah, yeah like they think I’m daft. Since the number comes from a landline in Haywards Heath, why not put up the owner’s name and address so people can deal with them properly? Got a call from the number mentioned, with a muffled voice talking about the law being unfair or something. I’m just recovering from chemo and trying to rest, so it really scared mehalf to bits.
