I picked up the phone and some automated voice claimed it was from Inland Revenue, saying that either me or my lawyer had to ring them straight away. The message said it was from an officer named Jennifer Brown and gave the number 01444390579. There’s no way IR would be contacting me like that, so I’m just ignoring it and definitely not calling back.

Got a call from an unknown number so I just let the answerphone pick it up - the caller ended up hanging up and never left a message. Such a pest!

I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, but it just hung up straight away once my voicemail started playing.

The call came through from BT but no one said who they were, so I’m thinking it was probably a scam or some call centre messing about. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.
