On 23 June 2020, around 2:45 pm, I got the exact same message. I ended up reporting it to the fraud team and blocking the caller straight away.

Got about five calls today but my phone didn’t even ring, reckon BT Call Protect sent them straight to the spam folder. Just keep flagging them, eventually they’ll get stopped before they even reach us.

Naturally, I pressed 1 and was greeted with someone shouting, “Get a life!” I’d had enough, so I promptly blocked the number. Quite the cheek, if you ask me!

Got a call from someone sounding Chinese, ranting about me supposedly donating £319 to Covid-19 or something. I knew right away it was dodgy since my bank only ever sends texts, no calls. I logged into my account online and everything was fine, so definitely a scam attempt. What a nasty person trying to make cash from others’ troubles. I used to love getting a Chinese takeaway, but this definitely put me off. Anyway, watch out for these scams and don’t give your info away, stay safe everyone.
