I've been contacted by E.ON Next about swapping out my outdated meter for a Smart one. A while back, I confirmed the upgrade through an email they'd sent me. Just got a follow-up message reminding me, "Hello, we've tried to reach you regarding your meter upgrade. It’s no longer functioning properly and requires replacement. Kindly get in touch with us at 01443544985. Cheers, E.ON Next."

This number has been ringing me every couple of days at different hours. Luckily, my scam detection settings managed to intercept the call before I could pick up.

Apparently, it's yet another sham touted by Eon.

Today, at the stroke of midday, I received a phone call from Mohammed on December 18th. He was pushing for the installation of a smart meter, but I've politely declined his offer. I've now blocked his number. Cheers!

I rang up E.On Next using the contact number listed on their official site. They assured me that the number I was inquiring about is indeed a genuine one. However, I'm still a bit dubious!

Gave my mobile a ring but it was from an unfamiliar number, so I opted not to pick up. They hung up without leaving a message, which is par for the course with these nuisance callers. I've added them to my block list.

Persistently ringing me without ever bothering to drop a voicemail sets off alarm bells – they're supposedly EON, but it feels rather dodgy!

Received a call from this number earlier today, it's clearly a scam.

It seems like there's a con artist impersonating Eon regarding smart meters. It's completely bogus! I’d recommend not engaging with them and just blocking their number altogether. Stay cautious!

They called and abruptly ended the call as soon as I greeted them. My deep voice tends to send these con artists packing. They thrive on targeting the unsuspecting!

I'm getting tired of the constant annoyance from E.ON, persistently trying to push their so-called smart meters on me. Honestly, they’re hardly intelligent. I've repeatedly made it clear that there's no chance I’m allowing that radiation-emitting surveillance device into my home.

I’ve been hearing from E-on about swapping my old electricity meter for a smart one. Had a natter with them earlier and they've been sending me some texts. Just got another message after they made an attempt to ring me today. Frustrating? Absolutely! Yet, I can see the reasoning behind it.

Cancelled that number straight away.

Some bloke kept ringing and saying "Hello" more times than I can count. I simply don't pick up calls of that nature, so I ended up hanging up. What a bother!

I missed a call, but shortly after, I received a text from a number that seemed slightly altered. The message was rather insistent about an upgrade to a Smart meter. I wasn't particularly keen on his approach, so I decided to hang up.

I've received yet another dubious call from E-On, claiming they need to swap out my meters for these so-called "spy-meters." It feels rather intrusive and dishonest! I reckon it's best to block their number and secure any outdoor meter boxes with a lock. Best keep those pesky intrusions at bay!

I recently received a call from a well-mannered chap claiming to be from E-on, stating that they need to switch out my meter because it’s getting on in years. I’ve also got an email regarding the same thing, but I can’t quite tell if it’s the real deal or not. What’s the chance of it being a scam?

I had a rather pleasant conversation with a gentleman from Eon-next regarding the upgrade from traditional meters to smart ones, as my old devices were reaching the twilight of their usefulness. He addressed me by name, yet curiously refrained from requesting my email or date of birth information. Quite an intriguing exchange, really!

Received a call from this number in the late afternoon and chose to ignore it since I recognised it from before. I've had calls from them in the past, and I'm quite uncertain about how to prevent any future nuisances from this number. Any advice would be appreciated!

I've been receiving unwanted calls from Eon Next regarding their smart meters, despite having opted out of any communication from them. It’s as if they believe they're above the standard rules. Quite frankly, anyone genuinely interested in a "smart" meter has likely secured one by now.

I received a call from the number 01443544969, and the person on the other end claimed to represent Eon. They insisted that I needed to install a smart meter. I mentioned that I wasn't quite prepared for this at the moment. They advised me to get in touch once I felt ready to proceed. Interestingly, they asked me to verify my name, address, and postcode during the conversation.

I’ve just had a rather dodgy automated call, where they urged me to hit 1 if I wished to stop receiving further calls. Quite the sneaky little scam, if you ask me! I can only imagine the number of unsuspecting folks who might fall for it, only to find themselves confirming their personal info. Definitely going to block that number!
