The call was quite suspicious - the line kept crackling and it seemed like it was coming from overseas, even though the number looked local. They even mentioned my surname but then the call just dropped out.

Got a call claiming to be from Openreach again! Honestly, their call quality is terrible, and they really ought to sort it out. The only smart move they had was faking a local number to trick people.

The call started with loads of static and rubbish sound quality, then a voice said, “Hello, this is BT Openreach, how are you today?” I told them, “I’m alright, just stuck here dealing with yet another lame old scam.” They hung up straight away. Honestly, these scammers really should come up with something different!
