Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was "my guide from BT." Oddly, I’d picked up my wife’s phone when she rang and she never bothered to ask who she was actually talking to. Plus, we don’t use BT at all. Checked the number online and found similar reports. Needless to say, I’ve blocked that number now.

The caller claimed they were from BT, so I just ended the call. Then they called back right away, but when I answered, they just dropped the call. They tried again straight after that. I've blocked the number now.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT about moving over to EE. They spoke really nicely and seemed to know a lot about me. I wasn't able to chat then, so I just told them I was busy!

Somebody called me pretending to be from BT and EE. When they asked for a one-time code, I told them straight up it was a scam. Then they called me back, claiming the phone number was listed on EE’s site, but I had their community forum open and it clearly warned about scams like this. I confronted them again about it and then they just hung up.

I got a ring from a bloke who sounded pretty British, talking about BT/EE broadband stuff like some folks here said. He tried to send me a pin to check for "data protection", but I told him straight up I wasn’t having any of it. I said if they really wanted to update my services, they’d have to send me the info by post or email. Unsurprisingly, he wasn’t keen on that idea. So, I just ended the call.

Got a call earlier, the person claimed they were from BT and wanted to switch my broadband over to EE. They said prices wouldn’t change and everything would stay the same, but I’d be locked into a fresh 24 month contract. I told them no and they just cut me off. Rang BT myself afterwards, and they told me it’s definitely a scam.

Got a call twice from some dodgy BT scammers. First one was about 4 days ago, claiming they wanted to check my current rates and offer me a better price. They even sent me a PIN from a number I’d spoken to BT on before, which made it seem legit at first. Turns out they can fake real BT numbers to trick you. I asked about my current plan and they got it wrong, so I just ended the call. Just got another call, some bloke saying he was Jake from BT and then he hung up straightaway. Looks like they want me to ring back so they can pretend to be BT customer service. Total scam, avoid!
