Got a call from a pushy lady with a thick Indian accent, and she was pretty rude too. Her English was hard to follow and she just wouldn't take no for an answer, kept harassing me despite me saying I wasn’t interested. Makes me question if the TPS is doing anything at all about these kinds of calls.

So frustrating! This number has been ringing my landline every morning for the last three days, and today they even called at 7:50 am! I’m disabled and have signed up with the TPS, but clearly these calls don’t care about the rules. Feels like no one can do anything to put a stop to it. Grr!

At about 9 AM, I got a call from a woman with a really strong Indian accent claiming to be “Kylie” from Microsoft. It was clear to me it was a scam since I know Microsoft don’t call people out of the blue and are super tricky to get hold of. I said something like, “Hold on, I’m recording this for the police,” and she just cut off straight away, no arguing or anything. Honestly, this little trick seems to scare them off - worth giving it a go!

Early this morning, about 7.30, I got a call from some bloke overseas. I answered since I have a mate in hospital, but I couldn't make out what company he claimed to be from. He started saying something about a problem with my computer. I told him I don’t even own a computer, and he snapped back, calling me a liar in a nasty way. Maybe I wasn’t telling the truth, but at least I’m not some rude scammer. It’s a real shame we can’t track these people down and shut them off.

Someone pretending to be from Microsoft rang up and said they’d fix her PC, but really wanted to hijack it and steal info or even move money. It’s a proper scam and should be dealt with, though sadly, like most stuff, it probably won’t be. They called my mum-in-law and spent ages on the phone, but she wasn’t savvy with computers at all, so nothing came of it. Shows how these scammers target older people who aren’t as tech-savvy - it’s awful.

I tried to get the caller ID by dialling 1471 and then called back, but all I got was this annoying buzzing sound, no one picked up. Honestly, it ought to be banned or something.

Before he could start his usual spiel, I told him I use Apple computers, not Microsoft (which isn’t true by the way!). Then he quickly switched his story to “I’m ringing about your Apple computers”. I then asked when he last updated his info but he just cut me off. Ha! That’s one point for me!

got a call from some bloke claiming to be from microsoft, sounded american and used my name saying there was some security problem on my pc. yesterday i received a call on 01254703334 from a guy asking for mr h which is strange cos there’s never been a mr h here, he was in the military and never lived at this number. if it’s the usual scam, they’ll probably try to get into your computer pretending to fix it which is quite risky. i still wonder why the tps dont do more about this?

What a dodgy scam! I told the bloke straight away, "My computer's fine, no issues here." He quickly asked, "How did you know I was calling about your computer?" I said it was homework and told him to stop bothering me. Honestly, the police ought to track down these scammers and lock them up.

These callers are total pests. They rang me up and were really rude, demanding to check my windows for problems. I found it so ridiculous I just burst out laughing, which seemed to wind them up even more. I told the guy, 'I'll let you in if you promise to never bother me again, including now by ending this call.' He didn’t find it funny and just hung up. Honestly, the police or whoever should do something to stop these annoying scumbags pestering people every day.

For about a week now, I’ve been getting phone calls every day where they just hang up right after I pick up. This morning, I also had two calls from a bloke with an Indian accent who said his name was John - first time he claimed to be from Microsoft, then later he said he was ringing from BT. Bit strange if you ask me.

Today I got ringing from 01254703334 a couple of times and later from 01438941227. The first one claimed to be Microsoft but I didn't answer the later calls, just let them ring off to voicemail in case it was legit. Still, nothing was left in a message. I tried 1471 to check the numbers and after seeing others' comments here, it looks like another scam. Really wish they'd stop bothering me.
