10 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be from ML Legal, asking for me but using my maiden name. They didn’t check any details like my address, just said it was about a car accident I’d had in the past 3 years. I told them I’d never been in one, which seemed to annoy him quite a bit. Then he said my info was on some “National Collision Database” - something I’d never heard of before. When I asked who had put me through, he said probably a family member. I explained none of them drive. We ended up having a bit of an argument about where he’d got my info from. Eventually, he said he’d take my details off the database because sometimes mistakes happen, which was odd since at the start he’d insisted everything was accurate and I’d given consent.
