The initial call I got claimed that my son had damaged a vehicle and was demanding a payment of £300. Mind you, my lad is only 17 and currently in bed, completely unaware of this nonsense, and the caller was more than 22 miles away! Then, moments later, I got another call from a different number, this time pretending to be from the local neighbourhood watch, saying they were monitoring my home because of some ridiculous accusations. The truth is, I’m bedbound due to heart failure! As if that wasn’t enough, the final call was from someone posing as a representative from Freeman's Hospital, with news of a donor heart - the very one I’ve been waiting for over 16 years. They claimed I’d need to wire them £5,000 first. Honestly, I can’t remember being this furious!

Same here, saw the comments from 24/5 about some unpicked Indian takeaway order. The bloke was proper rude and got worse when I tried to explain he’s got the wrong number and asked where he was calling from. Loads of swearing and even said ‘I curse you’. I can handle it alright, but imagine if it was my old folks or someone more vulnerable - they’d be totally thrown off and upset. People like that should definitely be tracked down by the phone companies and taken to court.

This number kept ringing me. The bloke on the other end actually knew my name, but I have no clue who he is. He’s called from a few different numbers, which I’m jotting down here. Mostly, the calls come in the afternoon, but sometimes on Saturdays too. I know the voice and usually cut the call straight away, but it’s pretty unsettling. They were warning me about serious contamination issues and advised against using any water, mentioning that the entire street had been alerted and would soon be shut down due to the severity of the situation.
