The first ring I got was some bloke claiming my son scratched a car and now wants £300 from me. My lad is only 17 and was fast asleep, and the caller was supposedly over 22 miles away. Then, just a couple of minutes later, someone else called from another number saying they’re with the local neighbourhood watch and were filming my house because I’m *************. Trouble is, I’m actually stuck in bed with heart failure. To top it all off, a third call came through pretending to be from Freemans Hospital, saying they’ve got me a donor heart (I’ve been waiting for one for 16 years), but I’d need to send them £5,000 by bank transfer first. Honestly, it’s got me fuming.

Same here, saw the comments from 24/5 about some unpicked Indian takeaway order. The bloke was proper rude and got worse when I tried to explain he’s got the wrong number and asked where he was calling from. Loads of swearing and even said ‘I curse you’. I can handle it alright, but imagine if it was my old folks or someone more vulnerable - they’d be totally thrown off and upset. People like that should definitely be tracked down by the phone companies and taken to court.

Got a call from an Indian gent who said we’d placed a takeaway order. Then he started shouting nonsense under the blazing sun, threatening to share our number with all sorts of eateries. Best to just ignore it. Proper strange bloke and really unpleasant.

This number kept ringing me. The bloke on the other end actually knew my name, but I have no clue who he is. He’s called from a few different numbers, which I’m jotting down here. Mostly, the calls come in the afternoon, but sometimes on Saturdays too. I know the voice and usually cut the call straight away, but it’s pretty unsettling. Feels like he’s getting clever at spoofing phone numbers or something.

Got a call quite late, about 11 at night, from someone claiming to be with the water company. They said my water was contaminated and that the entire street had been told to avoid using it because it was dangerous and the area was being shut down. Honestly, what a load of rubbish!
