I got a call from 0012016625370 claiming to be BT, telling me there was an issue with my router and that I should turn on my laptop right away to stop it from crashing. Total scam! My mum asked me about it, so I called them back and told them that if there was really a problem with my router, BT would get in touch with us. The caller just hung up on me immediately.

I've been getting calls for ages now from the same rather clueless chap with a foreign accent, purporting to be from Talk Talk. He keeps insisting that I fire up my computer - you know the spiel. On occasion, I like to keep him on the line for a good three to five minutes and then cheekily ask him if he prefers my bank details or passwords first. Astonishingly, they just won't take a hint and continue to ring me back!

Got calls from this number plus a couple more loads of times in the last fortnight. Usually someone on the line claims to be from TalkTalk and asks for the account holder - totally untrue, we’ve never been with them. Just today, they called again, I could hear voices but couldn’t get a word in, ended up having to yank the phone out and take the batteries out. I’m proper fed up with it and don’t even wanna pick up the phone anymore. Tried blocking, but they just ring from different numbers every time!

Got a call from some bloke calling himself K###an, claiming he needed to update my credit card info. Reckoned he was from Leicester or something. Did a quick Google and turned out K###an Q###um from Leicester is actually known for scamming folks around LE5. Proper dodgy if you ask me!

Just fielded a call from what appeared to be a legitimate number, so I went ahead and picked up. Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming there was a problem with my computer. She said the service provider was already working on it, but still wanted me to access my computer. I told her I couldn’t do that and she didn’t sound pleased. Asked her when she might ring again and said maybe in a couple of days. A chap by the name of David gave me a bell, claiming he was affiliated with TalkTalk. Interestingly, this was the fifth call I received today; the previous four were just silent bells with no number showing, marked as unknown and international. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!
