Just like some of you, I got an automated call from BT saying my internet would be cut off today. They told me to press 1 to speak to someone but then the call just ended. Really dodgy.

Got a voicemail from BT warning that my internet would be cut off if I didn’t press 1 to chat with them. I just hung up and checked the number through 1471, but turns out it’s not a valid BT number at all. Definitely a scam!

I picked up the phone, only to have them hang up abruptly without uttering a word. It’s quite frustrating! Even if they dialled the wrong number, a simple “sorry” would have been the courteous thing to do.
