However, it raised some eyebrows when we realised that they had managed to ring both our home and mobile numbers. It’s rather unsettling to think about how they managed to link both contact details. Any ideas?

We've had this number ring us thrice within a mere span of 10 seconds! As soon as they reached our Truecall answering system, they failed to state who they were, so they couldn't get through. Their raucous office banter is now left on record, though. When we tried to call back, it was evident that this number doesn’t accept incoming calls. Consequently, we've given them the boot. I suspect there will be more and more reports about this mysterious number cropping up soon enough.
