01425462793 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01425462793 👆 is reported as a persistent caller identifying as PRS Music, the UK licensing body responsible for music copyright compliance in businesses. Many recipients find these calls intrusive, often receiving multiple unanswered attempts or automated warnings. PRS representatives seek to verify if music is played on premises to ensure lawful licensing, which legally applies to businesses playing copyrighted content. While the calls are not sales pitches but compliance checks, some report difficulties in communication or discomfort with sharing authorised details. Despite registration with the Phone Preference Service, calls persist, leading some to describe the approach as aggressive or unreasonable. Businesses not playing music or not open to the public often still receive repeated calls. It is advisable to clarify your status calmly and understand PRS’s legal remit when contacted.

These folks really don’t seem to take any notice!

I received a rather forceful call from this number. After informing them that their inquiry had nothing to do with me, they persisted in restating the same points in an increasingly confrontational manner. Eventually, the caller remarked that I could hang up but insisted they'd continue to ring me every day regardless! I should add that I’m already signed up with the telephone preference service.

I've received four calls from these folks over the last seven weeks. I've made it abundantly clear that they should refrain from playing any music and that my premises aren't accessible to the public, yet they persist in calling. It seems these jokers simply cannot comprehend basic English!

Received yet another call today from this number. I’ve had to let them know for the 25th time this year that we operate our business from our home and that I’m the sole individual running things here. Honestly, what are these people thinking? Absolute numpties!

You might want to consider registering with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). I believe this should legally prevent companies from contacting you without your permission. Hope that information proves useful! Cheers! :)

Received a call just now for the second time, presumably trying to sell some licensing services for any tunes being played in a commercial setting. I've put that number on my blacklist and redirected any incoming calls from them back to their own line via our PBX system.

Earlier today, our phone rang with this number, but we chose not to pick up. They left a message claiming to be from PRS for Music. It's quite obvious it's a scam since we don't operate a business and have no involvement in music whatsoever. Just steer clear of it!

I recently received a call from this lot, trying to dig up some personal info. They wouldn't elaborate on why they were ringing, just kept saying something about PRS, which was a bit dodgy, if you ask me. Funny thing is, they never bothered to check if I was even a music-playing type of person! The bloke who called was quite rude, to put it mildly. Definitely sounds fishy, doesn’t it?

Blimey, this number - 01425462793 - has been absolutely relentless, ringing our mobile a staggering 14 times today! I've done a bit of digging and stumbled upon this website. Is there anyone out there who knows what these callers are up to? I simply can't fathom why they'd be so persistent, calling us 14 times in the span of six hours! I’m curious if anyone thinks it's wise to answer or if it's best to just let it ring. Cheers for any insight!

PRS Music keeps trying to pin me down for using music in my workplace, despite me clearly stating that I don't even use their service. I've told them countless times, yet they just won't take a hint. Honestly, they’re becoming quite the nuisance!

I received a rather unexpected call from these folks, claiming that the ring was automated and then promptly asking for my personal information! Seriously, what makes them think they have the authority to request such sensitive details? If and when we decide to get a license, we'll do so on our own terms. Honestly, who do they think they are to just waltz in and ask for our information like that? It’s quite audacious, really!

I keep getting calls from someone who claims to be "Oliver North". No matter how many times I politely ask them to stop calling, they just keep ringing my phone incessantly. It's becoming thoroughly distressing, as they simply refuse to take my "no" for an answer. Is there a legal route I can take to put an end to this harassment?

I've had a right nuisance with these callers constantly ringing us up. We’ve told them time and again that we don’t want to hear their tunes - it’s purely for our own family's enjoyment! Isn’t there a possibility for these folks to be penalised for harassing people like this? I’ve opted out of all those annoying lists, but somehow they still manage to get hold of my number. Honestly, it’s infuriating!

We encountered those pesky callers once more earlier today, and after sending them an email, we warned them about the Data Protection Act due to their failure to erase our information. We made it clear that one of their representatives is a real nuisance and suggested they record her message, so he could replay it to himself repeatedly until it sank in!

I've had countless calls from 01425462793. The callers either hang up immediately or let the phone ring once or twice before cutting off. I believe this number is linked to PRS Music, which I assume relates to their licensing division, the Performing Rights Society. Quite a nuisance, really!

@ Robbie Williams

Given your tendency to flood multiple phone reporting platforms with the same nonsense, it’s hard not to think you might be one of those PRS fraudsters attempting to sanitise your dodgy dealings.

In the past fortnight, I've received roughly eight phone calls from this number. Each time I pick up, there’s just silence on the other end. Curiously, when I attempted to return the call, I was greeted by a voicemail in French! This has me pondering whether it might be some sort of premium rate service (PRS) trying to determine if there's any music being played on our devices - which, by the way, there isn’t! Quite baffling, to say the least!

I've received four calls from this lot in the past week. I've informed them that there's no music allowed and that our establishment isn't open to the public, yet they persist in ringing me. It's as if they haven’t grasped a word of what I've said!

I've received multiple calls from the number 01425462793. Each time, they seem to ring briefly, maybe once or twice, then just disconnect. As far as I understand, this number is registered to PRS Music, the group that handles licensing for performances. Seems rather frustrating, doesn't it?

I received a rather unexpected call from them, and straight away they informed me that the conversation was being recorded. Then, bizarrely, they proceeded to ask for my personal information! What on earth gives them the authority to solicit my details like that? If I decide I want a licence, I’ll go and sort it out myself, thank you very much. Seriously, who do they think they are to be demanding such things from me?
