Got a call from some automated voice threatening jail time for tax stuff if I didn’t press 1. Just to be clear, HMRC do have an office in Harrogate at 21 Victoria Avenue, but this definitely wasn’t them. I just blocked the number and didn’t bother answering again. Don’t fall for it!

I got a call from a robot lady saying she was from HMRC, which sounded dodgy since I’m familiar with them. So, I just ended the call straight away. Afterwards, my phone showed a message saying it was the first time this number had called me, giving options to save, block or report it. I went ahead and blocked and reported the number.
