I didn’t pick up since I didn’t recognise the number. Judging by the other reviews, it’s a total scam. I’ve gotten a few dodgy calls lately from Harrogate too, so it seems like a bunch of muppets have set up a call centre there with loads of landline numbers, probably targeting people who are easy to scare or bother. Without more details apart from the phone number, there’s not much point in reporting it to the ICO or TPS.

Didn't pick up as I didn't recognise the number. After seeing what others have said, it's clear this is just another scam, and it's not the first dodgy call from Harrogate I've had lately. Seems like there’s some bunch working out of an office there with loads of lines trying to bother and scare vulnerable folks. Sadly, without more details besides the number, there’s no point in reporting it to the TPS or ICO.

This morning I got a call from a woman who sounded really full of herself. She said my name and asked if I wanted to get a winning Lottery number for 10. Got a call earlier pitching some lottery or lotto subscription thing. The chat was alright till they asked me to pay £54 each month for three months to join the UK and EuroMillions draws. When i said no, they pushed for a direct debit and even claimed that my sort code and account number weren't private info. Honestly, the sort code is basically the bank’s postcode! Total rubbish (and i’m in financial services myself). I’ll wait to see if i get those ten lucky dips they promised for free. Heads up - don’t ever give out your bank details to these folks.
