My other half has been getting loads of calls from 01423 652614 and this number too. Reading through other comments, it seems like they switch up their tactics now and then - one time it’s puzzle books, then a free lottery. Wouldn’t be surprised if they come up with something else soon!

Got a call from this number earlier but didn’t answer. Later, I checked my voicemail and there was a recorded message claiming I’d won 10 free lottery tickets, telling me to ring them back. Sounds a bit too good to be true! From what I know, freebies like that are usually a scam, so I just blocked the number and deleted the message.

So today I got a ring from someone telling me I’ve won 10 free lottery tickets for Saturday’s draw. They somehow knew where I live too, which was odd, but the weird thing is they didn’t ask for cash or anything. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Avoid this place. I paid £1.95 for postage thinking it was a small charge, but ended up getting these annoying puzzle books I never asked for. Then they started charging me £19.95 every month! Even after I cancelled both with them and my bank, they kept taking money from my account. Total nightmare!

So, I spotted an ITV free Wordsearch game and this lady called me up saying I’d won and was entered into a final draw. She claimed I’d bagged some tickets for the National Lottery and the Euros, but I had to send £1.50 to Royal Mail first to receive them. I told her I’d think about it. After looking into it, it all seemed a bit dodgy. I’m baffled how ITV can let this happen on their watch. Someone really needs to check into this.

During an ad break on ITV, my missus decided to enter one of those Wordsearch contests and, naively, handed over her bank info for what they said was "postage cost". Later on, she found out they’d started charging her £19.95 every month without her okay. She had no choice but to cancel her debit card and inform the bank. Even now, the phone won't stop ringing with messages about being “picked for the draw”. It’s been quite a hassle and really upset her. Honestly, steer clear of that Wordsearch competition!

I got two calls today on my home phone from 01423205225. Did a bit of digging and turns out it’s linked with scammers. Shame for them though, they’ve definitely rung the wrong person this time!

Like alot of the others have mentioned, I got a woman on the line claiming to be Charlotte. She went on about some free offers but then said I needed to pay something. Royal Mail's rang me 3 times today alone. Its a shame she doesnt have anything more useful to do.

Totally a scam, I heard them going on about all these freebies but then said I’d need to pay for postage and wanted my bank details. I told them my phone showed it as a scam and that your site confirmed it too. I made it clear I never give out bank info on the phone and told them to do one.

Just like the others mentioned, I punched in "word search" from the TV to look it up (honestly, they really shouldn’t be allowed to advertise there without proper checks). Then I got a text saying they'd call me from that number this week to tell me about some prize. I picked up when they rang, but they just dropped the call. Total scam if you ask me!

Got a call from 01423205225 a moment ago, they claimed I’d made it to the last stage of some competition with a £1,500 prize. They went through the usual spiel and then asked for my bank info. As soon as that came up, I knew it was dodgy. Honestly, these scammers need to be locked up. I’ve blocked the number straight away.

I got a call from 01423 205224 in Harrogate on the 8th of October 2024. I’d entered some TV crossword competition and they claimed to have my details, even said I’d got the answer right. They went on about some lottery and said I had to pay a little fee to Royal Mail to get a ‘pack’ sent to me. When I refused to pay, they just hung up on me. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Had a wee call today from some place about a word puzzle contest I had signed up for on telly. They asked if I could pay a Royal Mail fee, and I stupidly just gave them my info. Next thing I know, two charges popped up on my account! Luckily I didn’t have loads in there. Rang my bank straight away, got the payments cancelled and they’re sending me a new card. Best to avoid this number altogether!

Got a message on my phone saying, "Hey... congrats on entering the £12500 TV wordsearch competition! We’ll be in touch this week with updates from 01423 205 223." I’d rung up after spotting the advert on ITV to try my luck at the £12k prize. Seeing all these other posts calling it a scam really freaks me out. It’s mad that these broadcasters let stuff like this happen. You start wondering if you really won or if it’s just a con. I noticed I’d missed a call from that number earlier but was too wary to pick up, didn’t want to get charged or anything dodgy like that.

This number keeps calling my nan after she entered a TV competition. Seems like Channel 4 might have leaked her info or something because these calls just won’t stop. Someone should really look into this!

I took part in that Countdown wordsearch TV contest not long ago, and ever since then, this number keeps ringing but I always miss it. It shows up as a Harrogate number on my phone. Tried to ring back but no one picked up. After seeing what others have said about it, I'm just gonna block the number and stop joining these competitions. Sounds like something dodgy that ought to be reported.

Like others have said, I'm really puzzled how they managed to grab our details just from some TV contest we took part in? Feels really sketchy, and honestly, I wouldn’t be shocked if they send us some sort of scam mail soon since they already have our names and where we live!

Today I got a phone call saying I'd made it through to the next stage of a TV competition I entered and had won a bonus prize. They said it would be sent by post and already had my address. They asked me to pay £1.90 for postage, which meant sharing my bank details. I asked why I had to pay and suggested they just send it and I'd pay Royal Mail. The woman wouldn’t agree. I said I wasn't comfortable giving out my details, but she kept saying the competition was on national TV and must be properly checked, and that she only needed my card number, nothing else. Still, I said no and hung up.

There was this 'Countdown' competition they were running, and they gave out some lottery tickets for free. You just had to pay the postage after they sent you the card with the details. Bit of a cheeky way to get you involved, but that's how they did it!

I replied to a question on a TV advert, then received a letter saying not everyone had the correct answer. It told me to call a number for the next stage, charging 3.60 per minute with a max fee of 5.40. The very next day I got a call claiming I’d won. This is definitely a con and should be reported to the TV watchdog.

I entered this TV contest and got a call telling me I’d won something. They even mentioned my name and where I live, then asked for my bank info to send the prize. I didn’t give it to them though! Don’t these TV show competitions get checked properly before they’re allowed to run? It all seems a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call earlier claiming I'd won some ITV contest. I joked with the lady that she must need my bank details to send the prize by post? She replied that it was Royal Mail’s responsibility, not hers. I told her I had checked the number she called from and it’s definitely a scam, so I’d be reporting it. Also said if they really need to get hold of me, it should be through a letter. She agreed but still asked for my address!

I took part in a wordsearch contest mentioned on a TV ad. This number rang me, telling me I’d made it to the final round and could win a cash prize. They went on to say they’d be sending me a bonus prize at my home, but I’d have to pay for the Royal Mail delivery. They asked for my bank info over the phone and then mentioned there’d be a monthly fee of £19 for puzzle book subscriptions. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

I checked the number out on Google and it came up as Voxbone S.A., which is a communication service provider owned by Bandwidth, Inc.
