I had a rather peculiar phone call earlier from someone purporting to be from CarPhone Warehouse, insisting they had a fantastic upgrade on offer. I informed them that I wasn't a customer of theirs, to which they bizarrely remarked that no one is truly 'with' CarPhone Warehouse, as they merely provide packages to facilitate your existing network. I mentioned that I'd just renewed my contract with O2 and, rather abruptly, they hung up on me. Definitely seemed dodgy-it's clear they're fishing around for information, especially since they inquired about my wife, whose name the phone is registered under! The caller claimed to be from CarPhone Warehouse.
