If you scroll down a bit, you’ll see 3 posts below this one worth checking out. Every single scam call or message you get, be it texts, emails, or calls, should be reported directly to the cyber crime unit through their easy-to-use system. I only found out about this when I raised the issue of constant scam calls with my MP. There’s info on how to report these scams somewhere further down this page. The scammers definitely prefer you don’t know about this reporting method. If no one bothers reporting them, don’t be surprised when the scams keep coming.

The moment it showed up as a spam call I just ended it. But after seeing these comments, next time they ring I’m thinking of messing about and pretending to be deaf and Chinese. Should be a laugh or two! 🖕

I got a call from 01422766358 around 7.50pm on both my mobile and landline. They said they were from Bristol City Council doing a quick survey. I told them I was having my tea and they said they’d ring back tomorrow. I don’t reckon the council would be phoning this late though. Anyone know how I can report this?

Loads of calls coming from this Halifax number and some others nearby. Since I don’t know anyone from that area, I just let it go to voicemail. They never bother to leave a message anyway, so I end up blocking the numbers straight away.

The questions were mostly stuff like, "How long have you been with your current bank?" and "Which banking services do you actually use?" They never asked for anything personal or private. Most of it was about things like, "Would you tell your friends or family to use this bank?" and similar.

I got a call for a bloke named Hans, but when I asked them to say it again, they just hung up on me. Tried calling back and got some robotic message saying "you missed a call today, we follow all GDPR rules and will call again soon." Problem is, there's no way to get your info deleted from their system unless you tell them off properly if they ring you again. So if they do, be sure to say something.
