Every single scam call or message you get, be it texts, emails, or calls, should be reported directly to the cyber crime unit through their easy-to-use system. I only found out about this when I raised the issue of constant scam calls with my MP. There’s info on how to report these scams somewhere further down this page. The scammers definitely prefer you don’t know about this reporting method. If no one bothers reporting them, don’t be surprised when the scams keep coming.

The moment it showed up as a spam call I just ended it. But after seeing these comments, next time they ring I’m thinking of messing about and pretending to be deaf and Chinese. Should be a laugh or two! 🖕

I got a call from 01422766358 around 7.50pm on both my mobile and landline. They said they were from Bristol City Council doing a quick survey. I told them I was having my tea and they said they’d ring back tomorrow. I don’t reckon the council would be phoning this late though. Anyone know how I can report this?

I was contacted for what they claimed was a survey on behalf of a bank. It appeared quite authentic, and thankfully, it didn't delve into any sensitive personal details. They only inquired about things like the duration of my relationship with my bank and what services I utilise. Most of the questions were centred around my likelihood to recommend the bank to my mates and family, without any demands for personal or identifying information. Quite innocuous, really!

I received a call from someone looking for a chap named Hans. When I requested they repeat themselves, they abruptly hung up on me. I tried ringing them back only to be met with a robotic voice stating, "You’ve missed a call today. We adhere to all GDPR regulations and will make another attempt shortly." It appears that the only way to have your information scrubbed from their records is to confront them directly during their call! Be sure to do just that if they happen to ring you again.
