So I got a ring from a woman who said she was ringing from Lloyds bank but actually they’re a legit market research firm. She said they do surveys for different companies that hire them, not trying anything dodgy. Gave me a phone number and contact details so I could double-check if I wanted. Honestly, nothing fishy going on here, just a proper research company - definitely NOT a scam.

Got a call around 8 in the evening from someone saying they were with PIP and wanted to know about my assessment. They even asked for me by name, which seemed odd. Pretty sure it was a scam.

So, I got a call around 9 in the evening asking for my husband, right? When I tried to find out who was on the line, they straight up said they couldn’t tell me. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Someone rang saying they were from a Scientific Research Institute and wanted to speak with me directly. I wasn’t home, so someone else answered the phone. Because of my scientific background, they assumed the call was legit. Turns out, it was definitely not!

Somebody called from TeamSearch asking for Grishan, which is definitely not anyone at my place. Then the person sort of chuckled and tried to backtrack, saying it didn’t have to be exactly that name. When I said no, they switched to asking if someone else here could answer a few questions about the UK government. It sounded like a newbie having a go at fishing for info, very obvious really.

I got a call from someone saying they were from a Government Dept, wanting to chat about jobs nearby. They mentioned an old postcode from a few years back. The person had a Newcastle accent and there was loads of background noise. As usual, they said something about recording the call. When I asked what it was really about, they weren’t very clear at all.

They mentioned some recent money transfer I supposedly made (which I definitely didn’t), then tried to get me to answer a survey.
