Guy with a thick Indian accent called, said his name was “Charles the Royal”. I had to hang up cos I was laughin too much. He rang like 5 more times over a day, couldn’t be bothered pickin up.

They kept ringing me loads this week, asked them a bunch of times to stop calling but they just hung up on me. Today, before they even said anything, I told them to take me off their list cos they ring every single day. She goes, “No we haven’t, only twice, it’s all on our system.” Not only are they being cheeky and calling without permission, they shouldn’t have had my number at all. So yeah, I blocked the number. Bet they’ll ring from a different one next week though.

Because i get loads of these scam calls i just dont answer unknown numbers anymore, if its really urgent they can leave a voicemail. After that, i always look up the number on google and block it if it looks dodgy.

The call came from MIS (Move Insurance Services) using this number. The guy said his name was Adam and tried to review my life insurance. Strangely, he called me by a name I’d used with another random caller before, not my actual name. He claimed his firm had purchased my contact info. I told him I’m on the TPS list and it’s their job to verify numbers against it. He said he’d update my details, but I made it clear I wanted them deleted, not changed.

Never even heard his name, just repeated the same insurance details other folks have said. I jumped straight on him saying he had no right to ring me and told him in no uncertain terms to buzz off. He kept trying to sell me stuff, so I fibbed that the police were listening in. Next thing I know, they hung up real quick, and I swear I heard the phone being slammed down.

I got a call from a woman named Cody, sounded like she had a Yorkshire accent, claiming she was from Mis-Direct. She said I had some sort of life insurance policy. I told her I’m on the telephone preference service and shouldn’t be getting calls like this. She replied that their system automatically blocks those numbers. But when I warned her that reporting them could land her in trouble, the call just cut off.

Got a random call from a bloke with a British accent, said his name was 'Harry' from 'MIS Direct'. He wanted to chat about my life insurance and maybe sell me something. From what I can tell, MIS Direct seems to be a genuine financial firm. But if you're not comfortable talking about your money stuff with a company you’ve never heard of, best just block these cold calls right away.
