I've tried ringing a few times but my phone’s call blocker keeps hanging up on them.

Got a call earlier today from a woman trying to chat about energy saving. I said I'd pass her message to my mate Solly Wongnumba, but she insisted on talking to me instead. So I joked that the best way to save energy was to just hang up - and before I could say more, she ended the call herself!

Got a call from a lady saying their team of energy advisers would be around my road tomorrow, checking the heat efficiency of houses. She said they aren’t trying to sell anything, just wanted to arrange a good time for them to pop by and needed to come inside. I told her I’m not comfortable letting people I don’t know into my house. She was quite polite, said that was fine, and then ended the call.

I’m a guy and when I picked up with a simple “hello”, there was this sharp click and then the call just ended. Feels like they might be aiming these calls at women instead?

Got a missed call from this number just before 11 in the morning, but the caller ended the call before leaving a voicemail. Pretty sure it’s some sort of scam, so I’m just gonna block any calls from this region from now on.

These Halifax lot are a right pain, just feed ’em some rubbish stories, drag it out as long as you can on the call, then tell ’em where to go and block the poor buggers! Total waste of time!

On Monday 6/08/2018 at 10.17am, I got a call from an unknown number. Didn’t pick up as I didn’t recognise it. It just stopped ringing after a while. Going to block it now.

We've gotten calls from this number quite a few times on our home phone, which we only share with close family and essential contacts like the doctor or dentist. Every time we pick up, there's just silence and then they hang up. Feels like it's some sort of call centre. Really frustrating.

We had a weird call from Approved Energy Solutions. My missus missed the start of the convo and assumed it was from our electricity provider, which really threw her. They said they'd pop by on a specific day and time, but when they asked if she'd be home alone, she got suspicious and asked them to repeat themselves. The lady just said thanks, bye, and ended the call right away! When we tried ringing back, it was just one of those fake "your call is important, please wait" messages. Proper dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call today about doing some survey on our windows and doors to check energy efficiency. Funny enough, they said they’re working around this neighbourhood. Yeah, sure, like that’s a coincidence!

Got a call on my landline from a woman saying she was checking the energy supply around here. The tone didn’t sound right at all, like she was croaky and maybe a bit under the weather. Definitely felt off and quite dodgy to me.
