I noticed I had a missed call from this number. I gave them a ring back, but no one was on the other end. How frustrating!

These individuals are quite the nuisance! We're just looking for a place to raise our grievances regarding this number. They seem to call us around 10 to 15 times daily, and it's absolutely maddening!

We're getting incessant calls from these individuals, and honestly, they're quite the bother. We would really like to find out just who they are.

Received an unwelcome call from this number back on the 7th of February, 2013, at around half past five. I chose to ignore it since the number was from a completely unfamiliar area of the UK, one that holds no relevance or interest to me whatsoever.

Received a call from this number earlier today. They seemed to know my name and claimed I was entitled to a refund, although I'm quite certain there's no refund due to me. It's rather frustrating, and I'm curious about who’s behind selling my details to these annoying callers. I'm inclined to think it might be a catalogue company that insists on gathering phone numbers “for support”. They've got my email address, so what’s the point of the phone number?

I received a rather dubious call from a landline, 01616695797 to be precise. The caller seemed to know all about me, even my entire name, and claimed that I had been overpaid, supposedly owing a sum to one of six different banks! When I inquired about her identity and the company she represented, all she provided was the number 01422387713, which felt completely fabricated. It's disheartening to think that these scammers are out there. I really wish there were stricter penalties or legal consequences for these deceitful practices!

I've had my fair share of these infuriating calls too! They ring, and just as I pick up, they hang up. It's so frustrating. Just the other day, I received a call from a similar number: 01422387710. It really gets on my nerves!

We've been getting calls from this company repeatedly, and it's quite baffling. We haven't got a clue who they are, but they seem to enjoy contacting us on our mobiles just as we’re settling into our shifts at work. It's becoming quite the nuisance!

If you're fortunate enough to enjoy complimentary calls (like BT's free evenings and weekends), return the call using 141 beforehand and implore them to consult the TPS website before getting in touch with anyone. Should they ask for your postcode, firmly decline to provide it. Likewise, withhold your phone number and any other personal details. Just repeatedly emphasise that they must check the TPS website prior to dialling any number. If they attempt to interrupt you, don’t hesitate to firmly say, "Please, let me finish. Listen to what I'm saying," until they cease the chatter. Then reiterate your demand for them to review the TPS website before initiating any calls. If they try to argue that it doesn’t pertain to them because they represent a marketing firm, turn a deaf ear. Keep stressing the necessity of consulting the TPS, reminding them that individuals like us register for TPS precisely to avoid these unsolicited calls. If enough individuals adopt this strategy, perhaps these callers will finally become as weary of the situation as we are, prompting them to heed the TPS regulations that are meant to protect us. As an alternative, consider the following script. I would recommend reading it in full, resolutely ignoring any interjections, before you hang up. If they manage to hang up before you’ve finished, simply give them a ring back and repeat your statement until you either complete it or feel your patience waning. Remember to prefix your call with 141 each and every time. And here’s your script: --- Good day to you. I’m speaking on behalf of the British public to highlight an organisation designed to assist you in enhancing your business practices and vastly improving your company's public standing. This organisation is the Telephone Preference Service, commonly referred to as TPS, and you can easily find it online by searching for their name. Legally, telemarketers are prohibited from calling numbers subscribed to TPS, yet it appears this rule is frequently overlooked by your firm. You may think that this legislation doesn’t hold any weight with you, but I’m here to clarify that it indeed does apply. Should you persist in ignoring it, your company could face legal action and potentially hefty fines. Even if there were any grounds for believing this law doesn’t pertain to you, it’s vital to acknowledge that individuals who have registered with TPS clearly do not wish to receive unsolicited calls. Hence, for the sake of your company’s reputation, it would be wise to respect their preferences. If you’re unable to relay this advice yourself, I strongly urge you to pass my message along to your superiors immediately, so they can take corrective measures and prevent further repercussions. Thank you for your time.

Received half a dozen calls from this number on our landline. When I returned the call, a voice on the other end introduced themselves as "Consumer helpline. How can we assist you?" I'm a bit baffled about why I keep getting calls from them.

Absolutely, encountered the same issue earlier today with this number. Clearly a scammer, struggled to address any probing questions, just reciting from a script. I enjoy playing along with these sorts; my personal best for keeping them on the phone is a whopping 23 minutes! Just remember, don’t divulge any genuine personal information, mirror their tactics and weave a little fib. If you’re in the right mood, you can get a proper giggle out of the whole affair, all at zero expense to you! Also, if you happen to have the number, try dialling it back when it suits you, withholding your number, so they can experience the annoyance of receiving nuisance calls when they least expect it.

Is there any way to put an end to these calls? I'm absolutely fed up!

Received yet another call today. It seems I'm on their weekly radar, as they’re reaching out a lot lately. One can’t help but respect their persistence, honestly.

Greetings!

I recently received a rather suspicious call from this number. They claimed to be a consumer advisory service and started pestering me about some 'financial dealings I supposedly had before 2009.' Naturally, I informed them that I’ve never engaged in such matters, and promptly, they hung up on me.

I can’t stand these pests and those who sell our contact details to them.

If you're looking for a bit of revenge, consider filling out numerous forms on dodgy websites and listing their number as the point of contact. They'll soon find themselves inundated with unwanted calls, just like the rest of us. I find that using slightly cheeky fake names adds to the fun of the situation!

Much like others who’ve commented, I tend to ignore any numbers that don’t look familiar to me. I often resort to a quick online search, and lo and behold, this one turned out to be rather suspect. My landline is configured in such a way that it doesn’t ring for anonymous numbers, although it still logs any missed calls, which is quite handy. This simple tweak has greatly diminished the volume of pesky calls I've been receiving! I took this route after enduring a barrage of calls from a couple of consistently bothersome 'withheld' numbers. Since adopting this approach of not answering, I’ve observed a significant drop in those anonymous calls. It appears that the key to reducing them is simply to refrain from picking up. And just to add, I am registered with the Telephone Preference Service.

I’ve just had a rather dubious phone call from this number claiming to be with a company called Consumer Direct, insisting I might be entitled to a refund on some mis-sold PPI. I made it clear that I’ve never had any PPI, but she was adamant there could be a chance it was assigned to me without my knowledge. Then, she inquired if I had taken out any loans in the past. I pointed out that if she was ringing me about potential claims, she ought to have that information readily available. Yet, she claimed she only had a list provided by the bank but was rather vague when I pressed her on which bank it was. That left me scratching my head! She then asked if we could verify my details to confirm my identity. I reminded her that she had just called me, so surely she should know who I am! Frankly, this felt more like a ploy to fish for personal information to sell on, rather than any genuine attempt to assist me.

I received two calls from this number; the first one was regarding my "mobile phone agreement," and the second was about some so-called "overpayment." When I refused to give them my new address, saying I wanted to know more about the purpose of their call first, they abruptly ended the conversation. Seems rather fishy to me!

I received a rather dubious call from this number, claiming that I had somehow made an overpayment on some sort of finance - which is quite puzzling, as I don't have any financial arrangements ongoing. The caller insisted on verifying my address and date of birth to process a refund. Naturally, when I declined to share any personal information over the phone, she abruptly ended the conversation. I tried calling back, and unsurprisingly, she picked up, but I promptly hung up in return. For those of you experiencing a barrage of similar calls, I would recommend responding with a loud sports whistle, which should jolt them a bit. Alternatively, you might consider ringing them at an ungodly hour, like 3am, to have your say. They're likely working from home or attempting to pull a fast one on unsuspecting individuals!

I received a call on my mobile, and upon picking up, they addressed me by my first name, which was quite eerie, as that was all they seemed to have. They were probing for details, clearly trying to entice me into divulging further information. They claimed it was about a financial agreement I supposedly held and funds that were meant to be returned to me. However, they never specified what kind of contract it was or which company was involved. Their aim seemed to be confirming my address prior to "arranging my claim." I didn't bite, and after a brief exchange, I decided it was best to hang up.

It seems that the authorities have taken action against a few individuals connected to this number in relation to identity theft. They operate under the name Reactiv Media, located at The Warehouse, Gas Works Lane, in Elland, West Yorkshire. I experienced several calls from them-some incredibly eerie and silent, while others were persistent in their quest for personal details, often seeking banking information. It became quite a nuisance, as they would ring me on a daily basis.

I received a call from this number earlier today, but since it was unfamiliar to me, I chose not to pick up. The call went to my voicemail, yet there wasn’t a message left. Generally, I tend to ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise. If it’s important, the caller will usually drop a message; if not and there's silence, it’s likely some marketing ploy or an unwanted nuisance.

I've been inundated with calls from this number, all asking for a chap named Daniel Evans. This morning, my phone rang and upon picking up, I was met with silence. It seems they might be trying to verify if the number is active. I've been fielding near-constant calls on my mobile from this number for the past three months, it's getting a bit ridiculous now. Just like many others, if I choose to ignore the calls, they promptly disconnect before my voicemail can even kick in. When I do answer, it's always silence on the other end. I'm thoroughly exhausted by these persistent interruptions and would really like to uncover the mystery behind who or what is responsible for these calls!

Just to add to my earlier comments - I've recently installed a call-blocking application on my Android device, which has received fantastic feedback. I called my elderly mum, but because she struggles with her hearing a tad, she asked for a moment as my daughter had popped in. Suddenly, the line went dead. It's terribly frustrating, especially considering we're signed up with the Telephone Preference Service.

Is there any way to put an end to these incessant calls on my landline? I'm at my wits' end! How can I make them stop?!

I keep receiving calls from this lot claiming that I've overpaid, and they're requesting my personal information to sort it out. When I pressed them about who supposedly made the overpayment, they were rather vague and wouldn’t provide any details unless I verified my information first. I told them I wasn't comfortable sharing my details without knowing the reason behind it. The lady on the other end just shrugged it off and said, "Alright then, thank you, goodbye." Honestly, it's becoming rather tiresome as I've had their calls almost daily for the past week!

For the last eight days running, this number has been pestering my mobile with daily calls. I’ve chosen to ignore them completely, allowing the phone to ring without picking up. Not once have they left a message.

I keep receiving calls from this number nonstop! It's local to my area as well! No idea who’s behind it, though!

I really feel like I've reached my limit with these incessant calls; it's just relentless. This constant barrage is nothing short of harassment. Isn't there some way to put an end to this ghastly intrusion? I'm thoroughly fed up!

Received a call today from what claimed to be a consumer helpline. The questions were rather probing, trying to extract personal information from me. My advice? Keep your cards close to your chest and don’t divulge any details.

Received a missed call from this number. When I rang back, there was no introduction-just a woman on the line. I quickly decided to end the call. Having worked in telecommunications, I’m well aware of the proper etiquette for answering calls. I won’t be attempting to reach out again.

When on earth will the Government take action? Seriously, some days I’m tempted to just remove the plug from my landline with the sheer volume of unsolicited calls I’m getting. I've registered with the Telephone Preference Service twice now, ages ago! Just rang them up again to plead for some peace, and the lady claimed she'd get it sorted. By the way, this "Consumer Help Line" name really gives off a dodgy vibe, doesn’t it? It all seems to revolve around PPI nonsense once more.

This number keeps calling me, insisting it's related to a loan supposedly from Black Horse or Lloyds. The thing is, I've never taken out a loan with either of those companies! It's rather perplexing, to say the least.

I've received calls from this number three times today, and the same amount yesterday and the day prior. What on earth is going on? I'm absolutely not going to pick up, and I have no inclination to engage with these ridiculous calls. Just leave me be! Honestly, it's infuriating!

It seems these digits are being produced by some automated system. They just keep calling persistently. I reckon it's high time the government intervened to put an end to this nonsense, don’t you?

I've had this number ring me six times in just the last couple of days. I kept my phone silent. A few weeks ago, I picked up on my work mobile and made it clear that I had no interest in whatever they were peddling, yet the numpties persist in contacting me. Honestly, don’t ring them back; it's apparent that's exactly what they’re after. They really ought to be put in their place!

I just got a rather suspicious call from someone claiming to assist with reclaiming PPI. They wanted my full name, home address, date of birth, main phone number, and email address. The caller mentioned they had details about a potential claim related to an old Black Horse loan I'd taken out. Then, out of the blue, the line went dead. When I attempted to ring them back, I was informed that the office was closed, even though the time they provided suggested they should still be open. Quite baffling, to say the least!

Today, my mother received a phone call from this number. Although she chatted briefly, the conversation left her perplexed, and eventually it was abruptly disconnected. Curious, I decided to ring them back a moment ago. They identified themselves as Discover Finance, yet interestingly, the automated voice informed me that their office was already shut, even though it had previously stated they would be open until later this evening. It certainly reeks of a scam!

I've been getting calls from this number incessantly, and when I tried returning the call, it informed me that the office is closed. However, I thought they were supposed to be open until 8 in the evening! I called around a quarter past four, so that seems a bit off, doesn’t it?

I’ve had a rather annoying experience with these debt collectors known as Mckenzie Hall. They keep pestering me about a sum of money that I do not owe at all, supposedly on behalf of TalkTalk. The kicker? I’ve never been, nor would I ever choose to be, a customer of theirs.

I received a call from what they claimed to be a PPI claims firm. I ended up sharing my address and date of birth, along with some info about an old car loan linked to HPI. Now, I'm feeling quite anxious about the sensitive details I disclosed. They asked me to hold while they connected me with another representative, but I put my foot down when they wanted my email. I decided to hang up as soon as the transfer was mentioned. Shortly after, I noticed a call coming from 08445766235, which I chose to disregard.

I received a call from this number, and surprisingly, they seemed to have access to all my details from my previous address. It’s concerning because I never had any PPI linked to my vehicle, yet they knew exactly who my loan provider was. Quite unsettling, really!

I received a call from someone purporting to be from a consumer helpline, keen on discussing potential refunds, presumably related to loans or something similar. The background noise was absolutely dreadful, making it nearly impossible to grasp what they were on about. I firmly told them to take a hike and stop ringing me. However, it has got me pondering - how on earth did they get their hands on my mobile number? It’s a detail I’ve only shared with close mates and family!

Upon picking up this number, I was greeted by a robotic voice that informed me I would be connected to an operative shortly. At that point, I simply ended the call. Here’s a nifty suggestion: when you get one of these types of calls in the future, consider saving the number in your contacts with a title like "Hang Up Immediately"! You catch my drift, right?

I've been inundated with calls from this number, occasionally receiving two in a single day. I've chosen to disregard them, but they are consistently followed up by 01616626515. I could barely hear the chap on the other end due to what sounded like quite the raucous gathering in the background! He was prattling on about whether I had ever engaged with Mail Order Co or taken out a loan in the past dozen years. When I explained that at seventy-eight, I no longer dabble in such matters, he simply hung up. I do my best to be courteous to these callers, but it appears they haven’t the faintest clue about common decency. I’ve decided I won’t waste my breath on them in future.

Blasted nuisance calls! They just won't quit! I picked up earlier today and a young lady was on the line, but I couldn't make out what she was saying at all, so I decided to hang up. I inquired about how he'd come to possess my telephone number, but he couldn't provide a satisfactory reply. Instead, he insisted it was my fault for sharing it somewhere, which is just absurd, considering we have only disclosed this number to family and close friends. Clearly, he was not being truthful! I pressed him further about the origin of my name and number, warning him that I would disconnect the call if he remained mum. In the end, I think he grasped my annoyance and decided to end the call himself.
