Some woman named Alice, an Asian lady, rang me up about some investment scheme. I have no idea how she got my number or why she thought I wanted to chat about it. I told her I wasn’t interested, but she said she’d keep ringing me until I said yes. I just blocked her number. Then the same person phoned me again the night before from 01157156210.

The moment the caller began speaking, I could tell it was dodgy and ended the call straight away. They’ve been trying to ring me back loads, but I’m just ignoring it now.

Usually, when I get calls like this, I’m curious about how they got hold of my info. This time, they had an email address linked solely to Paddy Power, the betting website I use. Back in 2010, Paddy Power had a security breach where details of nearly 650,000 users were compromised. Seems like this firm, Remax, might have ended up with that data unknowingly. I asked them to remove my details, but who knows if they actually will.

They actually knew my name, even though I never gave it to them. I asked what number they were ringing from, and the person said "Budapest, Hungary." I just ended the call after that.

Been called by these lot twice this week! They were going on about some financial investment chance that, get this, only my missus could hear about. I’m done with it, so I’m blocking their number and signing up with the TPS.

I got a call from this lot just now. I guess they thought I was interested in some sort of investment scheme. Tried to find out what company he was representing but he wouldn’t say. When I asked him nicely to delete my data in line with GDPR, he was totally uncooperative. Kept telling me they couldn’t do that and that I’d have to unsubscribe from whatever site I’d apparently given my info to. The whole chat was really frustrating and there was no way to get through to him, so I ended up hanging up and blocking the number.

Got a call from some bloke saying something about how Covid impacted me. He sounded African and his English was pretty rough. When I told him it was none of his business and that he wasn’t ringing for Pfizer but was probably a scammer, he didn’t seem happy. I just ended the call after that.

These lot are really annoying. I first asked nicely for them to stop ringing me, but they just kept at it. Then I got proper nasty with them, yet they still kept phoning. Now I’m moving on to telling them I’m recording the calls and reporting everything to the police!

Honestly, don’t even think about answering this number. I was just chilling in my garden, enjoying the sunshine, and then this number rings me. I didn’t bother answering since I was told not to pick up calls from numbers I don’t know. It’s ridiculous how some people just ring up out of nowhere, probably 'cause they’ve got nothing better going on in their lives.

It's disgusting how con artists target old folks and those who can't really defend themselves, just so they can put on a front and make their families think they've made it in life.
