Missed loads of these calls but picked up a few times, always some bloke asking for a Mr Douglas - no idea who that is. Told the woman on the line, she sounded Indian, to take me off their list but she just said, "No, I won’t do that." When I asked where she was ringing from, she suddenly cut me off! I've had this bloke from Asia call me for the past three days on my mobile. Sounds like he's reading from a script or some notes, cause he’s always stuttering through it in really broken English. Each time, he’s asking if I'm at a certain place, then starts saying he's doing a quick survey with five questions and insists he’s not trying to sell me anything, madam. This morning I got fed up and just blocked his number completely, no more calls or texts from him. Well, he clearly thinks I’m daft - I’m not that gullible!

So I got a call on my phone from some bloke with an Indian accent, sounded dodgy as hell, maybe not even meant to be here. He was saying it was for some market survey but never said who he worked for or how he’d got my number. Right away he started asking for my name and postcode, which set me off straight away. Told him I wasn’t having any of it with some stranger fishing for my details and ended the call sharpish. If he thinks he’s gonna ring back, well, he’s got another thing coming - but knowing these scammy types, he probably will.

Avoid replying to these callers and never give out your name, address or email info. They're just checkin if the info they got is really about you, then they sell it to other dodgy people like PPI claimers or accident grabbers. Thats why they end the call once you prove your identity. Best to just ignore them or even better, block the number altogether.
