I've missed numerous calls from this number, and when I do pick up, it’s always someone inquiring about a Mr Douglas-who I’ve never heard of. I tried to explain to a rather rude 'lady' on the line that I wanted my number taken off their list, but she flat out rejected my request, saying, "No, I will not remove your number." I pressed her about where she was calling from, and then, abruptly, she hung up on me! Talk about harassment, am I right?

I’ve been getting persistent calls from an Asian gentleman who appears to be reading from a script. It’s now the third consecutive day he’s been trying to reach me on my mobile. This morning, I finally had enough and blocked him from calling or messaging me. His English is pretty fragmented, and he keeps saying things like, “Am I at the right address? I’m conducting a five-question survey, and I’m not trying to sell you anything, madam!” Oh please, as if I’ve just arrived from the moon!

Received a call on my mobile from a bloke with an Indian accent-sounded a bit dodgy, possibly in the country without proper documentation. He claimed to be conducting market research but didn’t bother to clarify his identity or the organisation he was representing. He went straight in with questions about my name and postcode. That was it for me! I cut him off mid-sentence and firmly told him not to waste my time trying to pry personal details from an unknown caller, then hung up. Honestly, if he dares to ring back, he’ll be in for a right telling-off-these sort of scammers do tend to lack common sense, don’t they?

Avoid replying to these callers and never give out your name, address or email info. They're just checkin if the info they got is really about you, then they sell it to other dodgy people like PPI claimers or accident grabbers. Thats why they end the call once you prove your identity. Best to just ignore them or even better, block the number altogether.
