Got a call from some phone service saying my plan ends today. They kept asking for a guy who’s never lived here. Usually they just call once, but this time they kept ringing back. Not trying to be offensive or anything, but whenever I get a call with a really strong Asian accent, saying they're from BT but the connection's rubbish, it just makes me suspicious. It didn’t take long for me to realise these are just con artists. Honestly, I think BT and Ofcom should be doing a lot more about this - I can’t believe they can’t stop these calls. Some bloke called pretending to be from the "telephone preference" service. When I told him I'm already signed up with the legit service to block these types of calls, he just hung up on me. The real TPS I’m on doesn’t cost a penny. Don’t fall for this, it’s definitely a scam.

Got a call today from 01420481629, and they phoned me three times throughout the day. Each time, it was either a bloke or a woman speaking, both with distinct Asian accents. I’ve had this number ring me loads today, about seven times I think. I ended up speaking to two different people, a bloke and a woman, both with pretty bad English accents that made me think they were from somewhere in Asia. Funny thing is, it’s showing up as a UK number, but the line had weird noises like it was coming from overseas. They said they were calling from the telephone preference service, but it was obvious they were trying to scam money if I’d have gone along with it. Proper persistent and really irritating. Could be quite risky too.
