I've been receiving quite a few relentless calls from a woman boasting an American accent, claiming to represent an investment firm. She was determined to persuade me to dive into some supposedly fantastic investment options.

On Friday they kept ringing me like 9 times. I blocked each one, but then this morning they started up again, using almost the same number just switching the last 3 digits. They've buzzed me 3 times already today. Honestly, it’s driving me mad! Who do they think they are?!

After blocking a different number, I got a call from this one which I've now had to block too. When I called it back, I got the same recorded message I’ve been hearing from loads of other numbers recently, probably around 50 or 60. The call either disconnects, tells you the number’s no longer in use, or says the wrong number’s been dialled, sometimes you get this dodgy automated message with an American accent. It’s definitely a scam linked to online trading. Once they’ve got your number, they keep pestering you nonstop.
