Last December, I started having issues with my internet and got a call from someone claiming to be from Virgin Media. They said their tech team would ring me back, which sounded believable at the time. When they did, they told me to switch everything off because apparently my internet was hacked. They knew loads about my mobile, computer and even my bank details, which freaked me out. Then, they tried to get me to hand over £1000 - I wasn’t having any of it and hung up straight away. I contacted Virgin Media directly and told them, but they got annoyed when I suggested the call might’ve been a scam, even though the caller was spot on about my internet problems and the expected tech call. Eventually, Virgin Media replaced my router, but I still keep getting calls from random numbers claiming to be from them. They even sent me an account number to pay money into, but Virgin Media said they had nothing to do with it - yet somehow, I ended up being charged for a 4-hour call from Virgin Media! I checked the number and it was based in Brighton. I’ve kept all the info from these scammers. Honestly, this mess needs sorting out. I just had a call from someone claiming to be Virgin Media security, telling me loads of people were using my internet at home. I got a bit iffy when her English was really bad. Things got worse when I asked for more evidence, and she got all annoyed, saying she’d lose her job if she shared info! Honestly, what a rude way to behave - not professional at all!

Got a call this morning from someone claiming to be Virgin Media saying there was an issue with my internet. I told them I use Norton, kept repeating it, then ended the call. Not long after, a woman phoned and when I told her she wasn’t Virgin Media and accused her of scamming, she just laughed and said the police wouldn’t help. I just hung up.
