Supposedly someone from Virgin Media rang me, saying they’d spotted some weird ups and downs in my broadband speed and were going to sort it out. The connection was terrible and the bloke had a really thick accent, so I didn’t catch much, but there was mention of router lights or something. I asked why they didn’t just sort the problem out instead of calling, and whether he even knew who he was talking to. Then, suddenly, the line just cut off.

Got a call from a bloke with an asian accent called Jim Smith, saying it was about virgin broadband. I just hung up straight away. There’s so many broadband scams going around, figured this was one of them.

havnt got a clue who that was, kept saying I had to check my router coz Virgin supposedly got alerts about some malware or virus. complete nonsense. I told them sounded fishy and asked them to prove who I was, they couldnt, so I said I’d be reporting them to the cops and then ended the call. defo doing that and gonna ring Virgin myself. no way this was a legit call from virgin media.

I’ve been tricked by these guys once before, they said they were from Virgin Media. I was having some issues with my internet then, so I kinda fell for it at first. The same number rang me again today, but I just ignored it.

01420358001 rang me saying there were issues with my Virgin Media router and how many devices I had connected. I kept asking for their account info but then got shouted at with horrible swear words and they said some awful stuff about me. Then the line just cut off ???

Got a call from a guy who said he was with Virgin Media, sounded Asian. He kept asking about my router, said it was running slow and wanted to add some kind of booster. He asked what colour the light was on the router and how many devices I had connected. He wanted me to download an app but I just said no and ended the call straight away.

Beware of this scam number: 01420 358001. I recently received a call from an Asian woman claiming to be from Virgin Media. She told me that my broadband had been accessed by other people without my knowledge. I decided to have some fun with her, so I asked about the weather in Alton, Staffordshire (where the call was coming from) and whether she ever visited Alton Towers. The scammer was caught off guard and quickly hung up. It was quite entertaining! I took the initiative to contact Virgin Media and inquire about the number. To no surprise, they confirmed that it was not a call from their company. I was shocked, but glad I didn't fall for the scam.

Had a woman with an Asian accent ring me claiming to be from Virgin Media, saying my broadband was getting used by strangers without me knowing. Got a call from this number claiming to be Virgin Media, trying to get me to install some app. Absolutely ridiculous. When I asked to talk to a supervisor since they didn’t know anything about me, the caller just ended the call straight away.

Apparently it was Virgin Media about my internet line. This happened two times. I didn’t pick up the first call yesterday around 4:30pm on Sept 17. Then I got another ring this morning near 9am and figured it might be legit, so I answered. But the minute they said Virgin and internet, I just hung up straight away.

Got calls from this number a couple of times over the last two days. I didn’t recognise it, so I just let it go to voicemail. Both times, no messages were left. Bit strange really.

Got a call from 01420358001, they said they were from Virgin Media and started talking about my broadband speed. I kept them going for about 15 minutes just messing around, then they suddenly got all rude. Looks like they’re targeting folks around South Wales at the moment.
