Received a call on my home phone yesterday inquiring whether I was experiencing issues with my Virgin broadband. The caller introduced himself with a distinctly British name, yet his accent was unmistakably Indian or perhaps Pakistani. I've had similar unsolicited calls in the past, so when I attempted to engage and kept repeating, "Hello, hello," he resorted to calling me a right muppet before abruptly ending the call. Quite the encounter, I must say!
