Got a missed call earlier so I gave the number a ring back. They said it was some kind of echo test, so I went along with it. Sure enough, it was just that - I pressed the hash key and it ended with a “goodbye”. Wondering if this might be a genuine number after all?

Got a call from some Indian woman pretending to be from the "National Health Association" checkin on my covid jab status. When I questioned her a bit, she suddenly shouted "Sod off, daft" and hung up on me. Definitely a scam.

A gentleman with a Scottish brogue inquired, "Is that Patricia?" Oddly enough, I’m a bloke and obviously not equipped with a female voice, so it caught me off guard! I replied, "No mate, you've dialled the wrong digit." He pressed further, "Are you absolutely sure? Is this not Mr. Ferguson's line?" It seemed like a genuine mistake at first, yet when I checked the prior reports linked to this number, it was evident that this call's been doing the rounds for quite a while!

I've just received my second call this week from a company called First Call. When I questioned the caller about the address of their workplace, she replied, "I’m not sure, as I work remotely." Quite the curious response, don't you think? The number displayed is 0141 846 6860.
